Secret Santa Sketch

This year my animation school friends did secret Santa where we had to create a piece of art work for each other. I did this initial sketch of a Japanese garden.


I wasn't happy with it and didn't think someone would want to hang it on their wall. So I redrew it with out the ink  lines. I was also so inspired by the Totoro forest project book I recently bought I decided to add some little creatures to the image.



This is taken from a photo so its a little blurry, I finally got a new scanner but the painting has been given away.

Morning Sketches

I've been getting up a lot earlier in the morning lately, which is great because now I have time to sketch on the way to work. The weather has been so great this summer which gives me great inspiration to draw the landscape around me.

Sketching at work

I've been working like crazy, head deep in an aninmation shot. Here's a couple of sketches of my co-workers that I do inbetween animating or while stuff is rendering. That arcade stick is for street fighter 3 which we use to play all the time.

Japan Trip

I've been tinkering with my site and got it looking a lot better. I'm working like crazy to get the content updated however. As I mentioned before I just got back from japan, where I sketched a lot. I love that country there are so many wonderful things to see and draw there.

room Sketch

I recently got back from a great trip to Japan. After getting back however I was jet lagged for over a week and found myself waking up at 3 and 4 am. I did this sketch of my room around 5 am on one of those morning.

Drew a little sketch inspired by a scene from ender's game, an amazing sci-fi novel which I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't read it. Very intense

I upgraded to wordpress 2.5 and so far I'm loving it, especially the new dashboard it so much more usuful than the old one. I am still sketching every day in my moleskin and will try to update once (maybe twice) a week

I got a new moleskine and I'm loving it, I totally recommend it, been drawing like crazy in it. Hopefully it will give me more things to update this blog with :
